The problem is you don’t know where or how to start gaining traffic to your site. Well, don’t worry I made this post just for you. There are many traffic sources. But this post focuses on boosting organic traffic to your page.

What is organic traffic anyway?

The term “organic traffic” is used for referring to the traffic that land on your website as a result of unpaid search results. Organic traffic is the opposite of paid traffic. Organic visitors find your website after typing a query in the search box. This traffic did not pass any referral link. So they are not “referred” by any other website.

There are actually many traffic sources. Not only organic traffic. But I suggest focusing much of your attention on organic traffic. Why so, read on to learn more

Reasons why you need to focus on organic traffic

1. It’s free

You don’t pay a single dime to get ranked. And the amount of traffic. That you will get with organic traffic is way bigger than you would get with paid traffic sources. But you will need to work hard for it though.

2. You get relevant traffic

If you targeted highly relevant keyword to your niche. And incorporate it into your post. You have a high possibility of ending up with people. Who is actually looking for the services and products? And probably will be more receptive to your product and promotion

3. Long-term effect

Organic traffic can have more long-term benefits compared to other traffic sources. For example when you use paid traffic source. You only have that service for a certain period of time. What happens when your ad expires. And you run out of funds to renew it? Your traffic will definitely decrease.

4. Comes with a built-in trustworthy factor

It is the main goal of GOOGLE to provide searchers with the best. And most relevant information it could ever find. With this in mind. When you appear in SERPs(Search Engine Results Pages). Your site comes with a badge of guarantee from GOOGLE itself. Getting ranked comes with credibility.

How to boost your website organic traffic

1. Create great content that people will love

The main reason why people like your page is because of the content you put out. If, you publish quality content. The more reason people will keep coming. And long as you provide value to other people. And you solve other people’s problem. All the more people will patronize your stuff and share it with their friends and family.

So how do you define great content

Come to think about. How do you define a content, a great one? Well, there are criteria s that most contents have. Before, it can even be called good. Or even deserved to be called great.

1. Provides value to other people

Why do people even bother going online and do a search? Because they have a problem. And they are looking for answers to their problems. They need an answer to their questions. And it is good if it answers those question.

2. Provides timely answer

You have to remember. What works today. Would be obsolete five years from now. Your content has to be according to the current times.

3. Something people can relate to

Your content will definitely not going to relate to everybody. But that’s OK. Your blog should not cater to the public.

What you should go for is something that your target audience would like. More on target audience later. But for now, my point is you should try your best to connect will people. People who will mostly appreciate your post.

When I say original I did not mean. You have to come up with something no one else has thought about. That would be very hard and unsustainable. What I mean is you put “your own spin” about a subject matter. After all, you don’t want to be on the bad side of Google.

Where to get ideas for great content ideas

One of the big challenges of content creation. Is coming up with ideas. And you are wondering. Where to get ideas for your post? And there are some places. where I suggest you can get some ideas. Ideas you can compile when building your own swipe file.

Example of these sources are

Pinterest is a great source for ideas. You can create your own board and pin ideas. Where you can later use for content

Facebook groups are another source of content. Because it’s where people go to ask questions. Look for recent questions that have received many answers. That is a good sign that it’s a relevant topic. And a topic that is relevant. And people are interested in reading about. There are hundreds of online communities for almost any subject these days

Using Quora you can find in-demand topics to write about. The questions that receive a lot of replies are ranked higher. And they are also ranked by the number of upvotes it gets. What sets Quora apart from other related websites is that. People are looking for a specific answer. That can normally be answered by experts and people with authority in the specific field

I definitely can see how SEO and free traffic from organic searches is such a good way to get continuous free traffic to your website.

I had no idea about some of these so I have a few questions still:

    Tips using SEO
    1. Use long tail keywords- had to google this! Basically, just longer phrases that are more specific right?

    2. Optimize a page for a keyword- I don’t know how to do this still?

3.optimize your meta descriptions- How can you optimise these?

    4. Start interlinking your content- Done! I get this one 🙂

    5. Optimize your URL for a specific keyword- How?

I never thought of compressing pictures to increase the upload speed and I love the idea about regular posting. I had heard this before but your explanation has helped me understand why so thank you again.

Your website looks great and this post was full of so many useful tips!

thanks for the comment. For your first question, yes, longer phrases that are specific. But I recommend you check out KWfinder.I love this website. It’s my favorite keyword research tools. Just type in your keyword and it will show all related keywords together with SEO difficulty.ITs a paid tool but they offer free 5 keywords search a day for free members. You will love it. And for your second question, I recommend you use Yoast plugin. Use this with the Hemmingway app. For optimizing the page I always find a way to include my keyword. On my post title H1 header and not more than 2 H2 headers. And also go to Google keyword planner to research related keyword to your main keywords. Then spread the related keywords that you got from GKP(Google keyword planner)to your content. This way you avoid keyword stuffing. Me too I never thought of optimizing images but it works! Compress your images using tinypng. Thank you for the compliment.Keep posting buddy
